If Dee's walls could talk, I would move out immediately, but you'd want to move in! I have an opinion, and I'm not afraid to use it! Be sure to view older posts if you haven't stopped by in a while!
Such a simple phrase.
Such a tremendous impact.
Sometimes, I complain. A lot of times I complain.
Recently, I realized I was holding on to things that were hurting me. Things that were making me feel bad.
Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.
When you wake up in the morning…when you bless your food…when you’re in a long line…tell God thank you. For me, I have found such contentment from thanking God for 10 things before I get out of bed in the morning:
My mom is safe and healthy
I woke up this morning
I have a job to go to
My twist-out will be on point today
I’m putting them paws on em in Fantasy Football
My car gives me no trouble
Tocca perfume and Rosebud Salve
Janelle Monae’s Electric Lady
Bananas brought to me by my co-workers every morning
Feeling like I’m on the right track AND the right train
I started out with 10, but any number will do. I find myself thanking God more often than I ask Him for things. I still ask, and I still question, but I’m trying to seek more often.
I don’t know what’s going on in your life. If you’re happy or sad; hurting or rejoicing. I do know that it is just as important to work on your mental and spiritual health as it is to work on your physical health.
I’m thankful that you took the time out to read this, and I hope that you will find time to thank God for his goodness, and for continuously showing you mercy in your life.
